I was never interested in proving the creature’s existence. What fascinated me was what happens when someone chooses to believe. Steady Hunter began as a playful search among friends—half absurd, half sacred—that soon uncovered something more layered: when a story lives in the cultural imagination, in books, legends, and people’s faith, then in some way, it does exist. José, with his radical belief, led us to that place between laughter and conviction. This film is an attempt to dwell in that space—not to judge, but to witness how the fantastic can quietly reveal something profoundly real.
