“This video is very special. It was one of my first works before I started film school. Through dance, I express my emotions about Cuba and how I felt at that time.”
“Internal Transformations” is a documentary that delves into the life of a woman who, throughout her life, felt and thought like a man, facing constant rejection from society. Her quest for acceptance led her to a church where, initially, she was embraced and accepted as she was. However, over time, this community began to transform her, molding her according to their religious doctrines. Now, she is married to a man but struggles with a deep internal emotional conflict. The documentary examines her battle between social acceptance and her true identity, questioning to what extent external influences can shape our beliefs and happiness.
